Frequently asked questions

  • Does the agent work with any Instagram account?

    No. The agent requires an Instagram Business account (not personal, not Creator). The connection is made via the official Instagram API, which is only available for Business accounts linked to a Facebook Page.

  • Can the agent respond to any comment on posts?

    In comments, the agent responds when it detects a keyword you configure. It doesn't monitor every comment indiscriminately. To move an interested follower to DM, the private reply via API has a 7-day window from the original comment.

  • Can SquadOS process payments or does it have an integrated cart?

    No. SquadOS does not have payment processing or a native cart. The agent helps qualify and warm up the lead to the closing point, but the actual purchase happens outside the conversation: via a payment link, online store, or direct negotiation.

  • What is the '7-day window' in comments?

    It's a limitation of the official Instagram API: the agent can only send a private DM in response to a comment if that comment was made within the last 7 days. Older comments cannot be replied to via private DM through the API.

  • What if I want a human to close the sale manually?

    The agent can be configured to trigger human handoff when it detects purchase intent or when the customer asks to speak with someone. The AI pauses, you (or your salesperson) takes over the conversation via the SquadOS panel and closes the sale. Then, if you want, you hand it back to the agent to continue post-sale follow-up.
