Composio Search

Overview

Composio Search brings together search actions that query external engines through Composio. In the product’s local catalog, an agent can search the web, news, images, places, finance, events, academic papers, shopping results, and trends, or obtain answers with sources.

Use the integration for discovery and research. A search result is external evidence and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect; request sources and verify critical information before acting on it.

Authentication

This integration uses no authentication (NO_AUTH). The organization does not provide OAuth, an API key, or credentials for a search engine.

How to connect in SquadOS

1. Go to Tools in the side menu (/admin/tools).
2. Open Available, find Composio Search, and open its card under Configure tool.
3. Select Activate. Because the method is NO_AUTH, the integration connects directly and moves to Active, without an external page.
4. Open the active integration, select Edit actions, and keep only the search types that are required.
5. In the agent, go to Tools, select Add Tool, choose Composio Search, select its actions, and save.

Activation for the organization does not add the integration to agents automatically. See the complete contract in Organization Tools.

The product’s local export, committed on 2026-06-17, contains 13 actions. It is newer than this page’s previous snapshot, which had 22 incompatible identifiers and names.

Caution

The checkout does not contain the complete parameter schemas for these 13 actions, and the audit did not query the database or production. In the agent editor, open the current action and use exactly the fields, types, and requirement shown by the product. Do not reuse old identifiers such as COMPOSIO_SEARCH_WEB, COMPOSIO_SEARCH_NEWS, or COMPOSIO_SEARCH_TAVILY.

Choose the right action

• For a general web search, start with COMPOSIO_SEARCH_SEARCH or COMPOSIO_SEARCH_DUCK_DUCK_GO_SEARCH.
• For a summarized answer with sources, use COMPOSIO_SEARCH_EXA_ANSWER.
• For news, images, places, finance, events, academia, shopping, or trends, choose the corresponding specialized action.
• For broad research with domain or depth filters, consider COMPOSIO_SEARCH_TAVILY_SEARCH.

Do not invent parameters. Save the action to the agent and test a non-sensitive query before relying on it in an automated journey.
